Here at the Lounge our main goal is to provide you with the highest quality services that you will ever experience!  We are the Only Nails only salon in Watsonville that provides 100% Gel Nail Enhancements! Lacquer Lounge Nail techs are licensed through the State Board of California. We have a Private Pedicure Lounge where our clients can enjoy free Wi-Fi while getting pedicures done. We use an Autoclave to sterilize our implements just like the ones that are used in Dental offices and Hospitals. The WELL BEING of our clients is top priority for us. We want your experience at the Lacquer Lounge to be a positive one that you will always remember.  Our Lounge Pedicures all done in Footsie foot spas with disposable liners. Each liner is thrown away to be recycled. We don't use whirlpool foot spa's because there are too many place's that harmful bacteria can hide and breed in, all though these tub's feel amazing and luxurious, we feel that it is better to be safe than sorry where our clients health and safety are concerned!

Please keep in mind that you can call or email anytime for advance purchase on gift cards using a credit card! When emailing please note when the card is needed by for prompt delivery!

The Lacquer Beauty Lounge Policy's
 So that we can make sure that all client's who inquire about booking an appointment will get on our books, we ask that you cancel or reschedule your booked appointments 24 hours in advance. If you do not give a 24 hours notice you will be charged a $25 No Show Fee at your next appoitment.  For New clients to the Lacquer Lounge we require a $25.00 deposit in the form of cash or credit card to hold for that a appointment booked.  Should the appoitment not be rescheduled or  canceled within 24 hours of the booked appoitment, the $25.00 deposit will be kept as a no show fee. If you are booking an appointment to redeem a Lacquer Lounge gift card, there is  a 24 hour notice required for canceling or rescheduling of that appointment.  If the appoitment is missed then the card will be null and void. 
All nail tech's stand by these policy’s. If you normally come in with your check already made out and you've missed a appointment, please make sure that you have added in the "No Show" fee.

Frequently Asked Questions


How long has the salon been open? 

The salon was opened in September of 2007.  Owner Lona Martinez has been a nail technician and in the business for more than 10 years.  She has participated in several competitions and placed in the top three in many.  She attends several classes and trade shows every year to keep up on new products and techniques. She has recently been signed on with Nubar Cosmetics as a Team Nubar educator and competitor!

Do you take walk-ins?
We recommend that clients schedule appointments in advance.  Our VIP clients have already reserved their standing appointments weeks in advance. Walk-in appointments are only available when a appointment opens up last minute.  In that case we will keep your name and number on a list so that we can call you to see if you would still be interested.

Do you charge for appointments not canceled?
Yes we do!  We request that you call and reschedule cancel your appointment at least the day before.  We do understand that things come up last minute, so we do allow a one time excused no show.  Otherwise you will be charged a $20.00 No Show Fee at your next appointment.

How many Nail Tech's do you have in the salon?
We currently have two California State Licensed Nail Tech's in the salon curently. 

What is Gel?
All artificial nail products have a acrylic base. Gel is based on the acrylic family of chemicals. Unlike the traditional acrylics or wraps, gel is made up of pre-formed chains of monomers (oligomers) that cure when exposed to UV light. We offer only gel enhancements because they are a great alternative to protect your natural nails, odor-free, adhere to the nail without acid primer, and have a durable, shiny finish that resists solvents.
Gel enhancements must be maintained regularly and do not always work for everyone.  We have come across this issue very little.

Do your nail polishes have DBP in them?
No, they do not.

What is DBP?
DBP, or dibutyl phthalate, is a plasticizing ingredient that has recently been banned for use in cosmetic products in the European Union. DBP is a potential developmental and reproductive toxin that may cause a broad range of birth defects.

Do you offer Special Salon Packages?
Yes, we do! We have customized packages for A girls Day Out, Lil Diva packages, Bridal packages
and many more to customize for you!

Do men come in for appointments?
Yes, they do!  We have men come in for Manicures and Pedicures quite often.
